How it Works

Control solar energy through the existing glass.

Solartek Silver uses a metallised film layer to change how incoming solar energy interacts with the glazing, reducing solar heat and visible glare while retaining a level of natural light appropriate to the selected grade.

01

Reflect solar energy

The reflective metallised layer sends a proportion of incoming solar energy back through the glazing before it enters the occupied space.

02

Manage transmitted heat

The film changes the balance of solar transmission and absorption through the existing glazing, helping reduce internal heat gain and hot spots.

03

Reduce glare & UV

Different grades provide different levels of visible-light and glare control, while the Silver range also provides high ultraviolet rejection.

Performance evidence

Performance figures you can interrogate.

The Silver range is supplied with performance data covering solar heat, visible glare, ultraviolet rejection and light transmission. The appropriate grade depends on the existing glazing, required appearance and level of solar control.
